Organize Your Own Rural Living Lab
From Ruralinclusion
The key concept behind the organization of a Living Lab is that the user should be involved in the innovation process all the time. Involving the users will enable us to obtain products closer to the market requirements without having to create such market, because the market is already there. The user can contribute with ideas, experiences and knowledge from his/her daily life and his/her interactions with the products, services and applications. The fundament of a Living Lab is the involvement of the users throughout all the stages of the innovation process; thereby, the innovation system becomes human-centric, in contrast to the classic technology- and/or market-centric approaches.
The Rural Inclusion methodology for setting up Living Labs can be summarized in the following steps:
- Plan your community
- Set up your communication strategy
- Make simple and sustainable processes
- Manage your community
- Organize events
- Keep stakeholders motivated
